The Transmitter/Receiver sensor has a rugged all-weather waterproof enclosure and a range of up to 35 feet that ensures reliable operation in just about any environment. The kit includes brackets designed for wall mount applications for both the sensor unit and the beam reflector. Some typical applications for this product would be as a safety sensor for garage doors or outdoor gates, overhead door security sensor, entry detection for store fronts or to assist in measuring parking distance. When the beam is broken, the sensors will turn on the LED light and trigger a normally closed or normally open relay output on your alarm system or warning device. This product requires a 12VDC-240VDC or a 24VAC-240VAC power supply, sold separately. The first number '6' refers to the degree of protection against access to hazardous parts and ingress of solid objects, 6 is the highest rating at "dust tight; complete protection against contact". The second number '6' refers to the degree of protection of the equipment inside the enclosure against the harmful entry of various forms of moisture, 6 is one of the highest ratings at "protection against heavy seas, or powerful jets of water".
