It includes a single mailbox answering mode as well as a multiple mailbox mode. Caller ID is captured and may be announced by HomeSeer using text-to-speech or WAV files. When messages are left, they may be forwarded by email to any email account, or a page may be sent. HomeSeer is notified of various phone events such as the phone ringing, the line being answered, messages left, or caller ID available.
