This 4-pack of I/O Linc modules gives you the ability to control multiple zones of low voltage devices which can be turned on and off from any INSTEON device such as KeypadLinc or RemoteLinc. You can even schedule timed events using HouseLinc 2 - INSTEON Desktop Software. Zone control is ideal for managing low voltage devices such as sprinkler controllers, giving you the ability to turn your water on and off at anytime from anywhere in your house; or it can be used to create speaker control for a whole house audio system. You can also keep your heating and cooling expenses to a minimum by connecting HVAC dampers, sold separately, to your I/O Linc modules; this will allow you to shut off airflow to unoccupied or unused rooms, which directs the flow of heated or cooled air to the areas that really need it. Create an access-control door lock system for each door entry to your home using electronic door strikes or use a security sensors to turn INSTEON controlled lights on or off as an alert system. Using this I/O Linc kit to create a set of controlled zones around your home is just another way INSTEON can make life more convenient, safe, and energy efficient.Flexible Relay I/O Linc's flexible output relay can be used to control many different types of low voltage devices, from pool valves to electric door strikes to garage doors due to the four different relay mode options. When controlling devices like pool valves, you will want the ability to leave it on for an extended period of time, allowing for plenty of time to fill the pool. As the water approaches the desired fill level, you can remotely turn it off. For devices like electric door strikes, setting I/O Linc's output relay to momentary mode will allow you to open the door or entry way gate using a RemoteLinc or any other INSTEON controller. A third version of I/O Linc's momentary mode allows you to remotely control your garage door with an INSTEON On command, but only if your garage is currently closed. This allows you to open your garage with an On command and close it with an Off command. Because I/O Linc can use a garage door sensor to indicate whether the door is open or closed, you can control the garage when you need to. Controlling Two Separate Loads The built-in single-pole double-throw (SPDT) switch canconnect any low voltage-powered device for continuous or momentary operation. With the addition of a DPDT Relay Board, the I/O Linc is capable of switching two separate loads on and off together. In this configuration, the I/O Linc could control two different loads of varying voltages (i.e. one high voltage and one low voltage load) or two higher current loads (up to 7A @30VDC each).
