Add sound notification to your INSTEON network using I/O Linc - INSTEON Remote Chime Alert Kit. It enhances your INSTEON network by generating a chime to alert you that there is something happening in or around your home. By linking a Wireless INSTEON Motion / Occupancy Sensor to the I/O Linc in the kit you can be notified of movement in a specific area of your home. By linking TriggerLinc - INSTEON Wireless Open/Close Sensor to the kit, you can trigger a chime to activate if an unauthorized opening or closing of a door or window takes place. A chime can be generated by any ON command from an INSTEON device or via a hardwired connection to the I/O Linc from any standard sensor. The chime receiver also features an adjustable volume control, six different electable chime sounds, 32 changeable radio frequency (RF) codes to prevent interference and an operating range of up to 150 feet. Additional plug-in chime receivers can be added for convenient notification throughout your home. How It Works The chime transmitter connects to the power supply and to the output of the I/O Linc - INSTEON Low Voltage / Contact Closure Interface (1 In / 1 Out). All connections are made using the included 20 Foot 2 Conductor, 22-Gauge/AWG Interconnect Wire. The wireless chime receiver simply plugs into any available wall receptacle. When I/O Linc receives a signal from any linked INSTEON device or from a hardwired sensor, the built-in relay activates the chime transmitter to send a wireless signal out to the chime receiver triggering the sound notification to go off. Using Multiple Chime Receivers For larger and multi-level homes, additional plug-in chime receivers can be added to provide you with an audible notification regardless of where you are in your home. Each additional chime module receiver can be plugged into an outlet within 150 feet of the Extenda-A-Chime transmitter. By adding these modules you can receive a chime whether you are in the living room, master bedroom, kitchen, basement, attic or even in the garage. Using Distinct Chime Notifications I/O Linc - INSTEON Remote Chime Alert Kit is versatile in that you can create two distinct chime notifications. By connecting an additional I/O Linc to the chime transmitter, you can create two distinct alerts. For example, you can hear one sound notification when a motion sensor is triggered at the front door to let you know a package has arrived and hear a completely different sound when the garage door opens, the possibilities are endless.
