Recipients of the automated phone call will hear a user recorded message identifying the concern. By linking an I/O Linc - INSTEON Door / Window Sensor Kit or TriggerLinc - INSTEON Wireless Open/Close Sensor, you can trigger a phone call to be placed if unexpected movement or an unauthorized opening or closing of a door or window takes place. You can even link it with an I/O Linc - INSTEON Leak / Flood Sensor Kit to alert you in the event of a water leak. Any device that transmits an INSTEON signal can be used to trigger the I/O Linc - INSTEON Telephone Alert Kit to call out simply by linking the devices together. How It Works The Phone Dialer connects to a telephone jack and to the output of the included I/O Linc - INSTEON Low Voltage / Contact Closure Interface (1 In / 1 Out). When I/O Linc receives a signal from another INSTEON device that a condition or status change has occurred, it will trigger the Phone Dialer to place an outgoing call to up to nine phone numbers. Additionally, you can pre-record a custom message that will notify you that the call is coming from your I/O Linc - INSTEON Telephone Alert Kit. It will also function seamlessly on systems that require that an 8 or 9 be dialed for outside line usage. Phone Dialer Record an emergency message of up to 40 seconds in length. When the Phone Dialer has been triggered it will begin its sequence of calls. It will automatically override the phone line for an emergency call, dialing up to nine phone numbers. If the line is busy, the Phone Dialer will redial each number up to nine times, waiting for a user-selectable length of time in between attempts. If a user receives a phone call notification, they can cancel the remaining phone calls by pressing the pound key (#) during the recording. The automatic dialer supports both tone/pulse dialing and PABX systems and will also function seamlessly on systems that require that an 8 or 9 be dialed for outside line usage.
