Temperature sensors can be helpful, indicating the weather outside or the current conditions indoors. But many sensors have a limited range and are unable to withstand extreme conditions. The Extended Range Indoor/Outdoor Temperature Sensor for HAI automation controllers will sense temperatures from -40 F to 120 F and is coated with a sealant to withstand outdoor moisture. This new, high-accuracy temperature sensor doesn't even need calibration. Using four-conductor wire (sold separately), the Extended Range Indoor/Outdoor Temperature Sensor connects to an input zone on the HAI OmniLT or OmniPro II (all sold separately).By connecting the Extended Range Indoor/Outdoor Temperature Sensor to your HAI controller, you'll be able to activate programs for controlling temperatures in remote areas that are susceptible to such extreme temperatures, such as attics, garages, basements, and wine cellars. Automation programs, macros, and indoor appliances can also be controlled based on the outdoor temperature.
The temperature can be displayed on HAI console or spoken over the telephone. It can also report, log, alert, or generate an alarm if the temperature reaches freezing conditions or if the temperature extends beyond the set point programmed in the system.
