PIRIT Utility Line 5/8" Heated Hose, 50 Foot
|
Living in a cold weather climate can limit the ability to use your hose when temperatures dip below freezing. The PIRIT Utility Line solves this problem as it is a heated hose for those wanting to run water in cold or freezing weather to complete a specific task or one-off job. The hose connects to your water line like any other garden hose; however it also has an electrical plug that can be connected to any outdoor rated GFCI outlet. Once plugged-in, a built-in thermostat is set to activate the heating element (copper wire) inside the hose line if the ambient temperature outside the hose is below 95 F and will turn off the heating element if the ambient temperature reaches above 105 F. It isn't necessary to keep the electrical cord plugged in at all times, and ideally the cord and hose should be disconnected when not in use. However, Utility Line was specifically engineered to withstand the cold and even if hose is left to freeze with water inside, it will only take about five to ten minutes to thaw once plugged-in. Additionally, the Heated Hose Utility Line can be used without water to simply radiate heat, helping to prevent frost damage to plants, or melt surrounding snow. This rugged 50 foot long, 5/8" thick hose is made of PVC material, uses protective bend restrictors at both ends and uses high quality brass fittings, making this product sure to stand the test of time.
