Use this sensor in conjunction with a Vehicle Sensor Console to create a reliable vehicle detection system. This probe and cable attaches to the Vehicle Sensor Console inside your home and uses magnetic sensing to detect cars as they pass by. No false alarms caused by people, swaying trees and people.This sensor probe is simply buried 6-8" underground beside your driveway and a wire is run back to the console in the house (sold separately). When a car passes by the probe, the buzzer in the console will sound for an adjustable duration. At the same time, the 2 built-in transistor outputs will close. These outputs can be used to send an X10 ON signal if attached to an optional 4060 Powerflash Interface. Up to 2 probes may be attached to each console. The Probes come with special burial grade cable that can withstand years of burial without any additional jacketing or protection.
