Water Heater Auto-Shutoff, Compression
|
Stop flood damage before it really starts with the Water Heater Auto-Shutoff valve, which automatically turns off the water supply to your water heater seconds after the leak starts, thus preventing any serious damage to your most prized possession, your home. Since you won't always be around the moment a leak begins, the Water Heater Auto-Shutoff valve protects your home, shutting off the water and emitting an audible alert when its sensor detects the presence of water.
The Water Heater Auto-Shutoff connects to your heater through 3/4-inch compression fittings, which provide a secure attachment for added peace of mind. The system's water sensor is placed under the water heater to detect any leak immediately and signal for an immediate response. Automatic ball valve responds, eliminating the water supply when your leak is detected. The valve can also be opened and closed manually.
The Water Heater Auto-Shutoff is so easy to install, it can take as little as 10 minutes. Connect the valve on the cold water supply side, mount the control unit to your wall, and place the water sensor on the floor. Plug in the valve assembly, and it's ready to connect to the power supply. Four AA batteries can be installed in the control unit as backup power; the batteries are sold separately. If your water heater isn't right near an electrical outlet, a 9-foot extension cable for the sensor is available and sold separately.
The Water Heater Auto-Shutoff valve is also available without compression fittings.
