Child Advocacy
Child advocacy representatives include parents, teachers, counselors, and groups dedicated to the protection and development of children. These individuals and groups exist to help young children develop, and make sure their rights are protected. In cases of child abuse, different forms of advocacy will come into play, including lawyers and some different groups who exist solely to protect children's rights. Child abuse has become a major problem in today's society, and is usually directly related to the abuser being abused, or some form of mental disability. There are several groups that exist solely to prevent child abuse such as Childhelp USA, which directly serve abused children and their families. Many other groups exist to support children, and protect their rights. Including groups involved in child rape, child pornography, child prostitution, and international child labor. These are a few of the most disturbing problems involved with everyday life, and child advocacy groups are attempting to prevent them all. This seems like a large task, for groups that generally act alone. While every little bit helps, groups should begin joining together, to create a potentially more effective child help group.
