Disposable safety glasses are a great option for people who will be visiting a construction site or other hazardous areas. They are not designed for extended use, but they are great for situations that only require limited use. The main advantage to these items is that they are cheaper than other glasses. This is especially advantageous if a person only needs to use them once or twice.

Disposable goggles are usually made with polycarbonate lenses. These lenses are shatterproof, further protecting the eyes if the glasses are broken. These particular glasses are still required to meet ANSI standards for protection, but because they are disposable, the construction may not be as high-quality as other glasses. The lenses and ear pieces are made out of the same material, and disposable safety glasses are not necessarily made for comfort. This is yet another reason they are not good for extended use.

Disposable goggles can usually be found for less than a dollar, and package deals usually offer the best pricing. Construction companies often buy them to use for visitors and other non-permanent employees. Most disposable versions come with clear lenses because shading and mirrored lenses cost more. Many manufacturers offer several color choices for the ear pieces, though.
