FloodStop for Sinks Auto-Shutoff not only detects leaks early, but it automatically shuts your water off in the event of a leak, alerting you with the control panel's alarm. Leaks are not only detected but water damage is prevented by stopping the flow of water when a leak occurs.
How FloodStop (FS 3/8-CD) Works:
Connect the FloodStop valves to your angle-stop valves and supply lines of your fixture (Sink, Laundry Basin, Tub, or any plumbing fixture with 3/8 supply lines)
Place the Water/leak sensor at the base of the fixture
The FloodStop valves will stay open until a leak is detected
When the water sensor detects a leak it will close the FloodStop valves and sound the alarm
The valves will stay closed until problem is repaired and system is reset
Designed for both residential and commercial dwellings, the FloodStop for sinks uses two automatic 3/8-inch motorized ball valves to shut off the water supply whenever your sink leaks, overflows, or a supply line ruptures. The valves can be powered by the included AC/DC power adaptor, or with 4 C batteries as the primary power source if there is no nearby power source. When the power adaptor and batteries are both used, the batteries will remain dormant unless there is a power outage, at which time the batteries will serve as a battery backup. The FloodStop can be installed in as little as 15 minutes; no professional plumbers are required. Output contacts are available to connect to alarm, home automation, or auto-dialer systems if desired.
This kit includes everything you need to protect your property from costly water-leak damage: Two 3/8 inch motorized ball valves with compression fittings to install on your water intake valves, a water Sensor to be placed on the floor (1.25 X 7.5), and the Control Unit (with Battery Backup 4 X C Size), which is mounted to your wall with the included screws, AC Power Adaptor (or use 4 X C Batteries as Primary Power Source) and Output Contact Wires (2).
