Internet Privacy LawClick Here to See Our Selection of Internet Privacy Law The Internet privacy law is an ongoing debate. And the law doesn't just concern what private citizens do to each other online. It also concerns what the federal government should be allowed to do with online correspondence. This law is about a person's constitutional right to privacy, and an American citizen's expectation of privacy. There are many, many forces and interests acting in response to online privacy. For example, some people are willing to sacrifice their privacy if that means it is easier to catch criminals. Other people do not want to see their privacy encroached upon for any reason, including catching criminals. Other people are concerned about privacy as it extends to commercial transactions and identity. Still others are worried about the privacy of their children, and the safety of children. As you can see, this privacy law is not an easy thing to consider. There are many elements and arguments about it, and everybody who engages in this discussion has a valid point of view and argument to express. This will continue to be a hotly contested topic until a compromise can be reached where everybody is happy.
