One of the first things you need to buy as the school year begins is a kids backpack. The backpack you purchase should meet some basic requirements. For one thing, it should be very sturdy. Their backpack will see some serious abuse during the course of its life. It will need to survive: heavy books and tons of paper, getting dropped in the mud and left in the show, getting shut locker doors, being left on a school bus and much more. The pack should fit easily over a kid's shoulders, and the straps should be able to support the weight of the backpack.
