Vaults and mailboxes are usually out on the street. This makes them extremely vulnerable to any thieves that could be stealing your mail, which means lost mail and even possibly a stolen identity. Using a keyed port rather than a standard flip box will hinder this possibility greatly. For those receiving packages and other large items, vaults will protect these packages just them same, as its only to easy to simply swipe a box from a porch.
